PIECES | LINES | YEARS
PLY stands for Pieces · Lines · Years — three words that express our vision of twentieth-century design.
Pieces are objects, fragments of material history;
Lines are the traces of thought, the gestures of design;
Years are the passage of time that gives depth, patina, and meaning.
where we are
Located in Savona, PLY Gallery was born in the heart of the Ligurian Riviera — a landscape that preserves some of the most remarkable examples of twentieth-century Italian architecture and design.
Between La Pineta of Arenzano and Varazze to the east, and the modernist enclaves of Torre del Mare, Alassio, Andora, Sanremo, and Bordighera to the west, this stretch of coast has been shaped by masters such as Gio Ponti, Ignazio Gardella, Luigi Caccia Dominioni, Vico Magistretti, Marco Zanuso, and Mario Galvagni.
Within this setting — suspended between sea, light, and form — PLY Gallery develops its curatorial vision: a journey through twentieth-century design where each piece tells a story of material, concept, and time.
The gallery is conceived as a space for dialogue between historical design culture and contemporary sensibility, highlighting furniture and objects that defined the aesthetic identity of the modern era.
