Designed by Eugenio Girosi in the 1950s, this bespoke sideboard was executed for his own residence inside the rationalist skyscraper designed by Marcello Campora in Savona. The piece reflects the architectural clarity and material refinement characteristic of mid-century Italian interiors, translating Girosi’s design sensibility into a functional yet sculptural storage element.
Crafted in veneered wood panels, carved wooden doors, and brass, the sideboard presents a long horizontal composition elevated on brass legs. The textured carved fronts introduce a tactile depth, while the upper section is crowned by a floating glass shelf supported by geometric wooden brackets. Inside, an intricate configuration of drawers and shelving showcases the precision and functional intelligence of the original custom design.
